Spread across two acres of land along a natural lake in Alibaug, Leisure Lake is a residential neighbourhood conceived as a vibrant composition of architecture, landscape and community life. Drawing character from Mediterranean-inspired forms and a tropical setting, the project brings together warm earthy facades, terracotta rooflines, expressive balconies and lush green spaces to create a distinctive residential environment.

A Composition of Forms

At Leisure Lake, architecture becomes an exercise in playful massing. Varied roof profiles, projecting balconies, recessed terraces and carefully articulated voids break down the scale of the buildings, giving each block its own identity while contributing to a cohesive architectural language. The interplay of volumes creates a changing skyline, where repetition is balanced by variation and visual rhythm.

Mediterranean Character, Tropical Setting

Warm-toned facades and sloping terracotta roofs establish a relaxed architectural vocabulary, complemented by generous openings, balconies and planted edges. This Mediterranean-inspired expression is reinterpreted for the lush coastal landscape of Alibaug, creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming, informal and closely connected to the outdoors.

A Neighbourhood That Breathes

The masterplan is envisioned as more than an arrangement of residential blocks. Internal streets, landscaped pockets, pedestrian-friendly edges and shared recreational spaces create a network of places for everyday interaction. Green courts and planted pathways soften the built environment, allowing landscape to become an integral part of the neighbourhood experience.
