To unveil their latest collection, Godrej Interio collaborated with ZERO9 to design a 7500 sq. ft. experiential display at their factory, showcasing an extensive range of home and office furniture to the Board of Directors.

The immersive setup featured dedicated zones for various furniture categories, a fully equipped seminar/classroom area for presentations, and a stylish lounge to host and engage guests.

Highly appreciated by the board, the temporary display was later extended to include architects, interior designers, and the all-India dealer network, offering a first-hand experience of Godrej Interio’s innovative furniture collection.

Between the Lines

Q1. What was the vision behind this Godrej Interio x ZERO9 collaboration?
The goal was to design an immersive environment that showcased Godrej Interio’s latest furniture innovations in a way that was both functional and experiential — allowing the Board of Directors to see, feel, and engage with the products as part of real spatial narratives.

Q2. How large was the setup and what did it include?
Spanning 7,500 sq. ft. within the Godrej Interio factory premises, the display was divided into dedicated zones — from home furniture and office collections to an interactive seminar area and hospitality lounge, creating a 360° experiential walkthrough.

Q3. What was ZERO9’s design approach for the experience?
ZERO9 approached it as a curated brand journey rather than a static exhibition. Each zone was designed to tell a story — highlighting innovation, materiality, and lifestyle context through spatial composition, light, and product placement.

Q4. How was the space organized to showcase multiple product categories effectively?
The design followed a progressive layout, guiding visitors through different product environments — starting with home furniture, transitioning to workspace solutions, and culminating in interactive engagement areas like the seminar zone and lounge.

Q5. What role did the seminar/classroom area play within the exhibit?
The seminar zone served as a functional learning and presentation hub, allowing the team to conduct live demonstrations, discussions, and digital presentations. It reinforced the idea that the space was not just for viewing, but for dialogue and education.

Q6. How did the lounge area contribute to the overall visitor experience?
The lounge provided a comfortable, high-design setting for informal discussions and networking. It balanced the professional tone of the exhibit with a touch of hospitality, ensuring guests felt engaged, relaxed, and valued.

Q7. What design elements made the space feel immersive rather than display-driven?
ZERO9 used zoning, material transitions, lighting gradients, and sightline control to create a sense of flow and discovery. The experience was designed to unfold gradually, allowing guests to interact with each product intuitively rather than being overwhelmed.

Q8. How did the project evolve after its initial presentation?
Originally designed for the Board of Directors’ exclusive preview, the exhibit received such high appreciation that it was extended to include architects, interior designers, and the all-India dealer network, transforming into a pan-India brand showcase.

Q9. How does this project reflect ZERO9’s philosophy of experiential design?
It epitomizes ZERO9’s belief that design is communication — that every space can tell a brand story through emotion, interaction, and spatial rhythm. The project translated corporate innovation into human experience.

Q10. In one line, how would you describe this project?
A 7,500 sq. ft. immersive narrative — where design, storytelling, and brand identity come together to redefine the way furniture is experienced.
